I'm learning a lot about running t-shirt drives. (First of all, I know it's supposed to be spelled "tee shirt", but it looks weird, so I've been using "t-shirt" in my materials.)
If you want to make grocery bags out of t-shirts, you won't be surprised to learn that you're going to need the t-shirts first. The good news is that pretty much everyone you know has t-shirts that they don't want anymore! The first time I posted online about needing people to donate t-shirts, my post got over 100 shares and lots of positive responses. And then you know how many people actually brought me shirts? ONE. So there are two big lessons there for your first t-shirt drive: 1. People want to help! 2. But you have to make it EASY for them. Here are my top 10 tips for collecting T-shirts for your first t-shirt drive!
